Out of all of the formulas that fit my preferences (medium to full coverage, natural finish), the NARS Natural Radiant Longwear Foundation was one of the only ones I hadn’t tried yet. After seeing my sister recently, she raved about the formula and then I knew I had to bite the bullet and finally try it myself. For some background, I’m a fan of NARS products in general.

I used to be a devotee of their Sheer Glow foundation in my early twenties and even before that, swore by NARS Casino bronzer (personally, way better than Laguna for my skin tone). I also hit pan on Amour and Deep Throat blushes. Hitting pan on blushes is hard to do!

I also am a longtime lover of NARS Orgasm gloss – in fact, I just recently repurchased it.

I followed the bandwagon on the Radiant Creamy Concealer (until, of course, Tarte Shape Tape came along).

So, as you can see, I love a good NARS makeup product.

After trying the sample of NARS Natural Radiant Longwear foundation ($49) for a few days, I filmed a wear test on my YouTube channel so you can physically see the way it wore throughout my very basic day. And this is winter time. I definitely can’t imagine this formula holding up too well on me in the summer when it’s hotter and I get more oily.

overall thoughts

This foundation looks beautiful on the skin when initially applied.

It even looks good for the first two hours or so.

On my normal/combination skin, it just didn’t hold up for the long haul and I know there are way better full coverage, longwear foundations for my skin type (Estee Lauder Double Wear, Charlotte Tilbury Magic Foundation, even the new Maybelline Superstay liquid).

I think this foundation is best suited for those with normal to very dry skin who want a medium to full coverage foundation.
